Solution to common phone problems

Phone fails to power on

Check on / off switch, check the battery voltage, check if it can charge, confirm if it has bad power IC, and do cross connection and use computer software to flash it.

Keypad problem

Clean the keypad interface on the circuit board, check if there is continuity on the interface, try to replace key with know working one of same make and model

Phone not charging

Confirm the charge is working by reading the output voltage with meter, check the fuse able resistor and replace if broken. Check the charging point tag to see if it has removed from the board, add a little soldering lead to clear the problem

Phone drops in water

Quickly removes the battery, dismantle phone and allow it to dry, use methylated spirit to clean power contact. Use hot air blower or (excellent alternative is to dry the main board and recouped it back to initial status

Partial contact  

     

The problem might be from excessive heating of phone bus or dust which might block the bus lines. The best solution is to remove the board, clean the bus line with fluid, while cleaning, and ensure you do not allow it to touch the component on the board

Blunt Screen

This problem arises when the cell phone is placed on where heat contacts with the phone after some minutes. The optic fibres will produce cladding.

Blinking of screen

This problem could be caused by the flex of a phone, not firm the main LCD. To solve this change the flex

Nothing is displayed on screen or messages are not clearly written or phone fail to power on

Unscrew the phone and bring it out the screen as well, clean out dust or sand that may be there, clean the interface very well with fluid and allow it to dry for some minutes and you pack it back carefully then you give your testimony and enjoy your phone

Battery drains faster than it supposed

If the battery is new charge it for two or three hours to normalize it performance. If it an old battery read from the voltage to know the capacity. If the area is available coverage unless the user leaves the area, the battery will always drain faster

I can’t call out and cannot received calls

Check the validity of Sim card, reset the factory setting. Use manual searching to check if the brand can view network then, press #33*0000# send to cancel call barred

Contact service

The solution to this problem is to use PC software to flash. There is a cell battery on the board that empowers the phone to retain given information. When the battery is weak or dead the phone can no longer store or retain any information
